Interview with Beverly
C. (GB)
What do you spontaneously
associate with Trend Vision? I think
Trend Vision is a fantastic concept because it
sets standards through innovation and trend
awareness. I find the trend project from Wella
both an inspiration and a stimulus for ideas.
The intensive confrontation with upcoming
trends, the interpretation and technical
implementation to the hair is a very special and
unique experience for me.
Do you have
a favourite trend? Although I haven't
worked on this trend myself, my absolute
favourite is "World Fusion". Alongside the
vibrant, inspiring mix of ethnic influences,
this trend leaves the observer with the feeling
of a wonderful summer's day. I also find the
combination of hairstyling and fashion as an
overall statement quite magical.
What
is the source of your inspiration? I've
always loved and been inspired by fashion.
That's why the pręt-ŕ-porter shows in Milan,
London, New York and Paris are also so important
for me. They set off a firework of impressions
and, in a certain kind of way, are an
avant-garde reflection of society.
What do you like most about your
job? Above all, it's the wide range of
tasks that makes my job so interesting. As well
as the everyday business in the salon, I
regularly work with fashion magazines, such as
British Elle and Vogue. I work as a hair and
make-up expert for these beauty and fashion
publications.
What do you think makes
a good stylist? Above all, alongside
technical competence, a good stylist should
possess sensitivity and be passionate about
doing their job. You should also have vision and
do your best to bring this to
life.
