Interview with Richard
Jordan (Netherlands)
What do you
find special about Trend Vision? This
project is unique - marked by individuality,
internationalism and inspiration. It's
remarkable how each of the interpretations
manages to strike the core of the trend
statements. Added to that, I find the interplay
between hair creation and fashion trend
fascinating and unique in this form. It's also
amazing how, year in year out, Wella manages to
unearth and recognise the coming trends, getting
it right on the button.
What
significant is Trend Vision to you in everyday
life? Trend Vision enriches my daily
work. The trends form a part of my seminars and
presentations, in the salon too I endeavour to
let them flow into my work. However, the extent
to which you can invoke the respective trends
naturally depends on the wishes and readiness of
the customer.
What would you like to
mediate to observers? Apart from
achieving a technically perfect result, above
all it's important for me to interpret the
trends in my own inimitable way without straying
outside the prescribed boundaries. Active
creation of the trends, breathing life into them
- that's just fantastic and is really important
to me.
What makes your job so
interesting? Apart from the professional
challenge, the biggest kick is dealing with
people, who fascinate me in new ways every day.
It's tremendously exciting adjusting to the most
varied of characters and working with them.
Also, it's the complexity of the job that makes
it a dream: working in the salon, supplemented
by photoshoots, seminars and presentations - all
that makes my job so
interesting.
