What do you find
so fascinating about the Wella Trend
project?
For me, the fascination of this
project lies in being able to transfer
mega-trends into avant-garde hair statements.
This shooting also provides each participant
with the opportunity to prove what they can do
and show their expertise on an international
platform. Beyond this, it's extremely inspiring
to let your own creativity run free, to assist
with the technical creation and lend expression
to the prevailing trends of
tomorrow.
Do you have a favourite
trend?
I like Techno Nature and Real
Daydream the best. What I found particularly
thrilling, was the interpretation of trends for
the "40 Plus" theme. An excellent approach, for
it's extremely important to point the way for
the mature generation too. I believe that trend
consciousness and beauty are not a question of
age.
What inspires you?
In our
job especially, it is particularly important to
be aware of the environment, to be able to
recognise and react to the shades and trends
within society. Sources of inspiration for me
are contemporary art and design, but also music,
literature and architecture. For in my opinion,
it is these subjects that best reflect current
socio-cultural trends.
What makes your
job so unique?
My job gives me the
opportunity to combine professional know-how
with creativity and fantasy. On top of that,
it's the richness of variety that makes this
profession so exceptional
.
